I walked outside and it was ing raining. What rain? I was not warned.

Then I get to work and everybody is talking about a hurricane. But I thought to myself "it cannot be, I received no written notice from one RJ".

I'd like my money back please. Notifications are not being distributed in a timely manner.

haha i was pretty surprised not to see a rabbitjoker update on this storm as well.

Barometric pressure is sitting at 94kpa at the center of the storm. Unreal.

Ive been following these links religiously the last week or so.

Its prettyyyyy ty down here. ty being a mild term for whats actually happening. My sign that the hype was real? Lookin outside and seeing a Vespa being hurled down the street by the wind. :nervous:

I became a believer.

That "storm" didn't warrant a rabbitjoker weather warning thread. That was as weak as the green tea they serve at your local chinese restaurant.
MSZ
this rain, its been raining a lot in October.

Hope you stayed safe Kelly!

Meh, went to bed at 1 and it was raining mildly with a bit of wind. Woke up and at 8 the sidewalks were dry with zero signs of damage anywhere (or do puddles count?). That's a flop storm if I ever saw one.

I was really waiting for the weather network to 'wow' me. It was their moment to shine, pull out all the stops.

Then the local reporter came on:
'its getting pretty bad outside, garbage cans are toppling over, and leaves are blowing around'

I couldn't take her seriously anymore.

Not saying the damage done was not serious but the hype surrounding it made it more like a tsunami. Nevertheless, RIP to those who died and the true cost to this weather will be seen soon. (80 homes burned down in a neighbourhood during a hurricane... :nervous

Jersey Shore wiped out.. crazy

Im good, thanks my love! :) Thankfully uptown Manhattan is on a massive hill, so, no flooding for me, but the wind damage is nuts. Looks like G/god took a bat to the neighborhood. My area was MUCH luckier than others, though. Lost homes, 5-10 more days without electricity, and parts of BK and Downtown, and Jerz are completely underwater.

Look at Breezy Point, Queens: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

Rockaway, Queens:

And midtown/downtown:

34th street:

@0th and Ave C

7th and Ave C

Pretty much the look of downtown, the Verizon Building:
