I only put the main drop for this track up. Who has time to listen to 5 Minutes of track?
How does it sound on your speakers? I only have one set of monitors and headphones.
Its been a long time since I have been on these forums I was going through some other peoples tracks and I forgot how good these forums are.

Sounds very nice and clear on my JBL Studio Monitors. As far as I can tell you've got your levels and eq-ing sorted out pretty nice.
Also, its a very cool beat! Keep up the good work!
PS (Unrelated): How did you get the embedded soundcloud player in here? |

Hey thanks for having a listen.
ON second listen, I am thinking maybe the sounds need a little more reverb and delay for depth?
To get sound-cloud tracks to be embedded in a forum post you:
1: Go to the track while logged into your sound cloud
2: Click the share button at the top left of the track
3: Copy the "Embedded Code" link
4: paste it into your post |

| Actually that sounds like a good plan. Not much though, just a little bit to glue the thing together a bit more, at least in the beginning of the break ;) |

| sounds nice and fat here - that kick sits with the bass well. I love the percussion at the drop. I would love some reverb automation of the gate/reverse variety automating up to the kick/bass intro - creating a sweep from the artifacts building up out of the reverb. it would sound pretty ill. idk if you have any midi changes for the bass riff u have later on in the track but adding a +7 or +19 semi riff to the top end of that bassline would add a really cool timbral melody to it as a next level progression in the track, especially later on for second drop etc. |

Oh Man!
That is a really good idea. I have just played around adding some extra notes to the bass line and it works so well.
Also reverbing up the build-up is a great idea, it needs something to make it more dramatic.
Thanks for taking a listen. |

yeah i mean less is more, you have the perfect perc loop going now its just about automating some effects on them to create the pad wash build. it will sound epic. gated/reverse reverb type algorithm set on a 1/4 sidechain type beat. and start with almost no sidechain and then automate that so that as it builds u notice more and more sucking. lol hahaha that sounds awful i know.
what program do u use |

ha-ha that made me laugh.
Two guys in a club "dude that sucking effect is epic", "Yeah you love sucking"
Good call on keeping the sidechain off and then build it up.
I am using Cubase 6.5 artist edition but my secret weapon is a Dac-1 from benchmark,
If you like any of the production sounds I am happy to share the effects, processing and chains etc |

OK I have basically finished this track. Do you think this is good enough to send off to labels?
Thanks, |
