Oh God. That tracklist. He actually played in Leeds a couple of weeks ago, shame I didn't realise until it was too late. Although that said, I'm not sure DJ Rum is someone I like because I think he can rock a dancefloor.

I ing love it when he puts in these little phrases from movies. More people need to do that.

I read an interview with him where he said that he has trouble getting booked because his releases are more laid back. It's the unfortunate side effects of todays' culture where new artists always get booked off their productions. His artist name (apparently it's now Djrum - pronounced drum) certainly doesn't help.

Even setting aside his productions, the mixes he's done like this one and the RA one, which are effectively promos for him as a DJ, are far from what you'd hear in a club.
Woony
Yeah obviously. He said he wanted to do mixes that are more than just DJ dance floor promo mixes that you throw away after listening to once. As an artist it's a hard choice, do you go for what you want to do artistically or do you go for something that helps your DJ profile. As an established big name DJ it doesn't really matter but as a young artist something like an RA mix is crucial.

Giving this one a shot. Going into it with open mind :)

It's a really good mix. Was just listening to it while coming down on the train home from Manchester, it was abolutely perfect. He even manage to make the Cape Fear samples work, and I never thought I'd take that film seriously.

Anyway, I'm mashed. Bedtime.
