Or Alchemy Player and then buy in some soundbanks for it, Himalaya pads would be a good start.
Alchemy Player is free btw. |

| worth mentioning the free alchemy player requires an e-mail address and like a 200+mb download of their stock bull |

It's not stock bull, it's sample content for the included patch library. |

would a rose by any other name.. yes it would. included patch library and stock "bull" are the same thing, making your reply as useless as mine. |

its over 1 gig. The way the synth works makes this material sort of the point. |

| I downloaded the player to use patches from some other sample pack, I wouldn't even bring it up but the 120gb capacity of this solid state drive makes me a bit touchy about downloading i'll never use |

ah did not realize it was the free version.
I honestly never got into alchemy in any way. Found nothing appealing about it. But the point of the synth is resynthesis which requires external material. If you are just using the oscillators , you are wasting your time.
I find absynth better for pads in terms of synthesis. But the guy mentioned he wants presets. Omnisphere is the clear choice. The preset manager is pretty damn good. |

thank for the suggestions....
we work very fast so i dont really have time to program much when we're on the go and we're using enough real world recorded instruments at very high quality that these pad sounds will never be the main event, just supporting cast and extras... |
