Long time no see boys, thought I'd drop in for a drop of tea what? ;)

Over in Aussie we've got John 00 flemming and Armin van buuren in october for Godskitchen. So that should be well mad :D :D

But here's whats ticking me off. Have you guys had something to do with Gatecrasher Global SSS being cancelled? It was gonna be in december and now the sydney and melbourne shows have been cancelled. And Sasha was gonna be there too and Bondy and all those mad Dj's that make us all so happy :(

You brits don't realise how lucky you are, on any given weekend you can hop down and get trashed for 1/3 the price and get to see all the maddest Dj's week in and week out. Over here we have to wait for the international festivals to meander down here and when one mega one like GC gets canceled you feel pretty damn......sad!! :( :( :(

Oh curses i'll go over there someday and friken soon too . You'd show us a good time wouldn't you ol' chaps? ;):D

Well when would be a good time to come do ya reckon? Is there a season when all the festivals are on etc? (breaks down and weeps at no gatecrasher this year)

Gatecrasher have no money??? Are they having problems with getting people in there mounth in and month out? Or are the Dj's starting to ask for too much? Werd

I seriously think they should start a club here. Though they'd have to leave us a few good dj's too ;)

Damn thats sad. Are the rest of the big clubs having problems too?

theyve spent more on doing tours in places like malaysia and bangladesh etc where nobody gives a and ignoring whats been going on back home, also dj's do charge a bit too much but thats not really wholly to blame. hopefully everything will be betetr soon tho, coz winter is coming which is when the home clubbing scene sees better times!

Best time to come would be when Europe is having it's summer, which is a different time of year to you guys. Strictly speaking the UK is pretty much the same all year round ('cept the festivals which are mainly summer). The UK doesn't really have a summer when it comes to weather though ;) But most of Europe is best during summer, and once you've spent £500 on a 25 hour flight from Australia you probably wanna see a bit more than the UK! Places like Germany, Holland, and most importantly Ibiza may as well be on your agenda if you come all that way. Most the Aussies we see in Europe (and there seem to be a lot!) are backpackers trying to do the whole continent on the cheap. I went to a hostel in Berlin and it was 95% Aussies/Kiwis!

Gatecrasher looks bleak right now but I don't think we have a great deal to worry about. There is enough competition out there and demand that someone will fill in the vacuum. I don't know about their financial situation, but Godskitchen appear to (slowly) be moving from strength to strength. Clubbing will always be alive in the UK, there's no doubt about that, but I think it could be changing. Is it just me or do we appear to be having more festivals and arena-style events (NEC etc) and more three-day club events (Tidy Weekender etc) and less emphasis on regular clubnights? All I worry about is that the UK will turn into a nation of festivals but that the traditional messy underground club in a backstreet in London caning out music till noon will die out and be replaced with radio one parties. Maybe we are losing our unpredictability and everything is becoming a bit more organised? To be honest, I hope not.
