Definitely great tracks, except they are more techno than trance. Papillon and Triclops are more trance.

2015... the year of trance comeback.

what with gouryella and rising star aliases rumored to be back in action. the appetite for change is here! no seriously, that "gouryella" track is .

but this is NOT...

who runs afterglow by the way?

I'm gonna get my Gouryella maxi right now to keep me awake.

rubez Wow, thank you for posting this! Will make sure to buy the track as soon as it gets released

Deadmau5's recent trance stuff reminds me of pre 2000 trance. Very minimal, production is quite raw and overall pretty refreshing.

Interesting thing to say, seeing this one has the exact same song structure, 3 minute breakdowns and all. It just adds that pumping sidechain action to it, which I personally loathe.
rubez
you loathe a technique?

that's pretty stupid. it's all in the execution, and ultimately, the outcome.

many tracks 'on paper' would seem alike...

Exactly - it's all in the execution. When you use a ty technique, the outcome will be ty.

Why is this particular track so much better than the "Gouryella" track when there really isn't all that much of a difference?
rubez
there's no difference?

open your lugholes.

can't take you seriously if you are saying these tracks are basically the same.

and there are no ty techniques - only ty execution. i guarantee you, you know plenty of tracks which use this 'pumping sidechain' technique that you actually dig.

Structure wise they are exactly the same.

There are ty techniques and ty execution. This one has both.

rubez
it's like you are speaking from your exit hole or something. structure-wise they are the same... so?!

structure-wise, many skoda's are IDENTICAL to VW's and audi's.

most trance tracks follow the same or very similar structures. that has all bearing on the quality of the track itself.

again, there are no ty techniques. in the hands of a master, any technique can shine. it doesn't have to be laid on thick - that would be the execution, you tool bag.
Mr.Mystery
I really don't feel like repeating myself for the third time.
