Paul van Dyk - 'Avid City' PLEASE POST ALL YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS!

This short crowd recording was taken from a Paul van Dyk liveset at Roxy, NY back in 2003. It almost certainly features a rare recording of the unreleased track from PvD's 'Reflections' album - 'Avid City'

The only information I have been able to gather about the track is a short snippet from the August 2003 issue of UK publication 'Mixmag' in which they review a sampler of the album 'Reflections' with commentary from PvD, he goes on to state ...

quote:
There's an acid line in there, so I called it 'Acid City'. Then a guy in my office made a typing mistake - 'v' is right next to 'c' on the keyboard - so it became 'Avid City'

When 'Reflections' released without the track I contacted the PvD offices for further information - they clarified that it hadn't been released due to sample clearance issues, so other than the sampler sent to Mixmag for review there are no known copies in the wild, even a contact at Positiva proved little help in locating a copy.

If anybody ever heard it played out, has any other recordings, knows the current location of the 9-track Positiva sampler, the origin of the sample that didn't get cleared or any further information then please post all you know here! :)

PvD played this for me while touching me with the tip of his German penis. Pure magic.

I can dig it out if you're desperate ... the rest of the set was nothing special though and the quality isn't great - I cleaned up the sample as much as possible before i uploaded it! :)

Paul van Dyk has a really bad habit of keeping all his good music unreleased:
Working
Another Way (Live at Cafe Mambo Ibiza 1999 version, I rather would have had that on the single instead of Sessions 1 remix)

this version of 'Let Go' which is way better than what he ended up releasing
Blue Neptune
also, thank you superfunk for uploading all his unreleased stuff. your a boss.
