Question about CUE button on a CDJ..

Hi,

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but when your cd is playing, why does pressing the CUE button on a CDJ brings the track back to its cue point, but then pauses it so you have to press play. Why is it not so that hitting the CUE button makes the track go back to the cue point and just keeps on playing the track like the hot cue buttons do?

I know it will keep playing when you keep holding cue button and then press play at the same time, but why can't you do that by simply pressing the main cue button without anything else?

There must be an obvious reason for this, but why is it designed like that? (sorry, I am new to DJ'ing)

so that your track is ready when its time for launching it?

Why would you want it to do... what you want it to do?

just have your track cued up and hit play on the appropriate measure. it's not like it makes using cdjs hard or something. even if you are playing non stop with 3, it is really easy.
