| if you buy a hardware synthesizer u are free to mod it but warranty lost. i dont know if software has warranty so u ask me u can do whatever you want with it. who cares. they only care about money and as long as you pay u should be able to do whatever you want. |

It does, and you can't. The EULA is usually pretty specific about this point.
Using a cracked version when you already own a license? Tricky as . But I think it compares to listening to a backup copy of a cd you own, esp seeing as iLoks break all the time.
But I doubt the industry would look at it that way, the record companies were indeed forced to let the end-user be able to make backups.
Anyways, it probably says it's illegal in the EULA.
But morally? Go nucking futs. |

Half of the software i use is cracked and cops havve not knocked my door... yet.:eek: Thing is that 90% only use sylenth,z3ta and fl studio and this are the only things i bought so the 10% extra plugins i use once every 3 months doesn't count to me, morally.
This is about ethics you won't be jailed for using a pirate software.
Legally speaking there might be a problem with your warranty, i don't know what iLok stands for but most warranties cover you only if you don't manipulate in any way the installed files you have in this case, and using cracked software where at least the registry entry will be replaced with a fake one meets this requirements.
However you don't instantly lose it, it's very hard for them to prove that you used cracked software for a while, this rules of warranties are thought to avoid people using 3rd party stuff in their products or trying to repair them. |
