I didn't have alot of money to start out with so I had to buy second grade stuff. Couldn't even get MK2s. I got 2 American DJ decks this mixer (which isnt bad) and Technics RP-DJ1210's (excellent headphones)

Whats your price range?Vestax PCV-275 would be good with the 1200's for around $400.
Pioneer DJM-300 for around $350
these are good mid-ranged mixers.. though there are always higher and lower priced mixers..!:D |

i sugest that you look for either a numark, pioneer or vestax mixer
I really donä't know anything about the numarks but I've heard a lot good things about them
My friend has a Pioneer djm-300 mixer and it's a nice mixer for the beginner....and it's very easy to bring with ya for houseparties ans such couse it comes in a very comapct format
I myself started out with a Vestax PCV-275 mixer and it's aboslutley wonderful...I've only found one bad thing about it and it's the space between the knobs....but that might be my fingers that are to big :D
and also...if the 275 seems a bit to expensive they have a lightversion of it called PCV-175 (the blue one)
my sugestion is that you try to find a friend that has the mixer or try them at a store.....after all it has to feel good for you too :) |

| The VMX-300 has many good features and is definately good value.. its just the the eq. on the Behringer is not as accurate than the DJM-300's. Though if your $$$ isnt limited to $200 (VMX_300), you should go after the DJM-300 or the quality PCV-275 |
