The Social Experiment was a success!
One of the best nights of the year for me.
Me and my friends had no problem whats so ever thru out the night... waited 10mins in line @1215... blahblah bitch bitch who gives a if u have to wait a bit to get in to a club... Yeah it was hot and sweaty but it wasnt an issue...
Because the music was so ing good... i cant even begin to describe how good it was.
Tone of Arc live was wikkid... slapping the bass...
LeeFoss and Art Dept were operating on a different level!
Lee played his new single Electricity and Benaddiction...
Art Dept played Deers in the Headlights around 430 and that just pushed it over the top for me.
No real issues thru out the night. I would say it was perfect. |

Really, that was my obvious back up plan. I really wanted to go, i havent seen him this year.
On another note the club wasnt overly packed upstairs they controled it well and there was enough space to move freely upstairs. |

| I had a really good evening, good venue, good music... until the end. I went at 4:15 to get my coat from coat check only to discover that they had given my coat to someone else with a different ticket... not impressed to say the least |

| Music was awesome. One complaint, way to hot towards the end felt like a sweat and bad breath sauna. Maybe open a door since the noise was blaring out front anyways. |

I posted this review in the Moskito thread:
I can't recall a will call situation for a party ever operating smoothly. Hard tickets are the way to go. From what I saw, last night was logistical nonsense. Moskito, do not your paying patrons over by making them wait in line for hours. They bought a ticket and should be able to show up whenever they please and walk right in.
Too excited for last night's show, I refused to even acknowledge the line. I walked right behind the bouncer and in the door. He asked what I was doing, and I told him, "going to the party that I paid for." I even ended up sneaking two of my friends in (who, by the way had purchased tickets--but we didn't even bother redeeming them due to the cluster trying to get in. We just walked right in) . After overcoming Moskito's incompetence, what followed was a night of dance floor destruction!
Lee Foss played a funky and groovy set. That was my second time seeing him. He's great, but I think he's a bit overhyped by the TA community. Whatever though--still really fun music.
Then came Art Department. Also, my second time seeing them. Jonny and Kenny just understand how to dominate a dance floor. They're simply magic behind the decks. Seeing them perform live is special. I had an absolutely incredible time dancing and so did all of my friends. My God, they dropped a bootleg/remix of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" around 4:45 or 5am. Straight magic--highlight of the night for me for sure.
Comments on the venue:
-- As mentioned, terrible mismanagement of ticket holders. ing ridiculous.
-- Insanely hot inside--an absolute sweatbox, slippery floor, etc. I was drenched within 5 minutes. I, for one, love hot sweaty dance floors, but I think a fan or two would be a good idea.
-- The sound system is incredible, but only with ear plugs in. When I took my plugs out for even just a second, I was in disbelief: painfully loud.
-- Really friendly bar staff, always quick and eager to refill my water bottle for me. I'm sure they recognized the tropical climate of Moskito
-- Moskito seems like the stupidest brand name ever haha--nobody likes a bloodsucking insect.
Despite some of the shortcomings, I had an amazing night. |

I think it might be the Soulclap version, but it sounded different Friday night.
I really like the Psychemagik version too. |
