Nice track selection. Mixing wasn't that smooth but I know mixing eurodance is very difficult because of the short track timings.

One thing that bugged me the most was that you had included some early 2000s tracks in some points of the mix (ie. DJ Sammy, Lasgo, Scooter) and they didn't really fit the 90s atmosphere. The same applies to that Gizeh remix there... it's mostly just cheesy uplifting trance more than eurodance. I was impressed by the last german & dutch happy hardcore tracks at the end though (rotterdam-style!).

P.S. Red Jerry's remix of 'You Belong To Me'... OH THE MEMORIES!

Thank you for listening.

The main challenge in mixing eurodance is not only the track lengths but mainly that many tracks are filled with vocals from the first to the last second, so it is sometimes very hard to find good transition spots.

I see the cheesier 1999/2000 uplifting stuff as the legitime follpow-up sound to eurodance; I call it eurotrance. When I'm mixing eurodance I always use some stuff of that era. ;)

So finally this came to play in my car.
As usually with Eurodance, ten minutes in I was singing along, raving and driving like a madman. Lots of great tracks in there, man. :) I was especially happy to hear Herbie and CB Milton.
However, indeed the mixing is weird on quite some occasions. I get it you tried to do longer transitions and sometimes that just didn't work out. Now surely I should be the last one to lecture someone on mixing, but I feel Eurodance might require a different mixing approach. Now the guy I always try to copy is DJ Deep, surely the greatest Euro mixer ever. See here and similar youtube videos for an example:

Maybe you wanna try something like that in your next effort, for example check the absolutely divine transition at 9:45. I sure hope there will be a follow-up mix from you. :)

FAO Dutch people: Now don't start with Liebrand here. Yeah, he was good and influential, but no one in the world can touch the great DJ Deep. :p

Very nice job. At least you mixed this decently and with some thought behind it. I see to many people mixing eurodance and they have NO clue what they are doing...

Glad to see you put some time behind your mix, very nice job

pretty much my opinion. took risks with some of the longer transitions, but i didn't think the mistakes made this set unlistenable. though the odd fader mucking around was rather annoying.

programming was decent, but I think for a 3 hr set, you could have done more to build up the set in the beginning as it pretty much went straight into full on Euro. though you did a good job sustaining the energy for 3 hrs without it feeling boring

likely will get few more listens at least
