need some help wityh a synth sound

| Hey everyone i really want to create a Silverblue or Rank 1 type synth sound but i am having a hell of a lot of trouble getting it.. being that im only using fruityloops can anyone help me out? I actually contacted Rank 1 and benno said he uses a real synth to get that sound (could have expected that huh) and that it may be quite hard to get with fruityloops (also expected) but please any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks all |

well... the direct use of vsts in fruityloops and the lack of using any vst whatsoever in reason... to me reason sucks and that reply wasn't really helping him, was it? ;) |

| What sound are you exactly trying to get. Strings or lead which rank1 track, i will try and help. to be honest it would be hard to recreate in fruity unless you use a vsti |

| And on the Fruity reason argument, i used to use fruity, but now ive discovered reason running via rewire also the use of vstis and reason in a host with effects, well. . ive never looked back, but i still think fruity is an awesome piece of kit |

| detune the oscillators and stack up a lot of synths.. if you got unison mode switch that on too. Try adding some chorus and reverb too :) |

Hey guys.. the sound im looking for is the sound in the awakening song by rank 1.. (closely related to the strong synth sound in Superstring) and in the silver blue song.. i think it was called step back.. i have included little clips of these songs so you can hear exacally what im looking for..

the Awakening synth can be pulled off reasonably well by 2 JX16s.
yeah i love them, theyre so damn CPU friendly (i tried reproducing the awakening synth with FX and all, it came to <20% of my CPU , which is an amd 1.33
the trick with that one is to play a whole assload of octaves. PM me if you need a file with the settings ETC.

well, it's the people that aren't completely into fruity that say it sucks... pretty lazy to get rid of it that way isn't it ;) |
