Enjoying the groove and perhaps an older school vibe.

this is good but the mix sounds kinda clinical to me, especially the bassline and high hat. Using any saturation plugins? Psp mix saturator is my new favorite thing and also waves has a tempo synced flanger that if used minimally can add subtle variation without it sounding messy, like on the high hat. Just my 2 cents

No that's really good feedback. The waveform seems like it lacks dynamics too, which is kind of what I hear. I will experiment. I'm pretty sure I have the saturation plug but I have methods of warming things up. Worth messing with though. I may play with the instrumentation and add another synth or something but my next focus will be the arrangement and then nailing down the mix.

Not usually a major fan of this sound, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I agree with meriter, it does sound a little bit dry or clinical and something to add a bit of variation on the journey would be nice, but defo not a bad track for sure.

Good and solid bass for something to grow from, need some additional tweaks/FX or some melodic changes in order to make full blown and releasable material - cool so far !!!!

enjoying the dynth that comes in at .40 - nice! up until then it does sound a bit dry. Grooving bass.

It's quite pleasant but I wanted to mention something that I'm noticing is lacking in a lot of demos here guys. It may be just my personal taste but I like tracks to have a bit of natural sounding ambience. In the old days this was done by for example piping a track back into the recording studio rooms and re- recording it, and then slotting this roomy ambient mix quietly into the track.

I like to use a roomy convolution reverb on various percy and other sounds, even on the bass lately otherwise things can sound very sterile and lack personality.

Anyho, just a personal thing which people may not agree with, which is cool by me.

Good insight ^ I really want to re-amp a synth one of these days. Like just a saw stack through an Orange amp or something and record it with an instrument mic
