I've listened to Paul Van Dyk forever, he might suck now but like Tiesto I respect what he's made before. I've waited years to see this guy. :) |

| PVD show was amazing!!!! I had fairly low expectations but when he came on stage you could feel the energy rising. I remember telling Colleen (ClubGoddess) that he must be spinning 135 bpm right now. She had an app on her phone that detected bpms and it registered 138 bpm lol I was impressed that he played mostly trance and not the other crap...techno electro house that no one likes. I was even more impressed by the new addition of laser lights @ Amp. These were long overdue! Amp used to have lasers back in the good'ol days but these were 1000x better! I must say it gave me goose bumps to witness the awesome visuals provided by the laser lights. The lighting engineer did a pretty good job but could use a little work on syncing the lasers to move to beat of music. They also sprayed the nitrous air blast a few times but used sparingly instead of blasting it and filling the entire room with it where no one can see even inches in front of them. That's how I like it at least but I'm sure most women hate it. I had a great time overall mostly impressed and mesmerized by laser lights. Now if we can get the crowd to even out about 2:1 ratio of female:male or even 1:1 that'd be perfect. I'm not a homophobe or anything but there were an abundance of dudes like 4:1 ratio of male:female. Good for you ladies but bad for us dudes. Nevertheless I am looking forward to the next trance show at Amp and I hope those lasers are here to stay. Btw can anyone tell me how I can upload pics and video to here? |
