I might add my own vocals - I have the lyrics all workerd out but not sure if it needs them...

I have designed this to go with a game such as Sniper 2 / COD or whatever.

I am making a decent vid to go with this - special ops deep in jungle n all that.

I played the operatic choir stuff in.

This is my 3rd D&B and I'm now finishing all 3 off.

Man, you aim at the gaming industry like COD and/or Battlefield and with this production I think you get perfect score of 10 lol - I personally play some (Battlefield specifically) and can tall you that you make this specific atmosphere which can really blend into an action scene - great one Richard !!!

Good work! I like the climax to the track, definitely video game like. Difficult to comment on the mix quality though, with it being a YouTube vid :)

Thanks

I deffo need a fresh ears mixing session yet. Might change all the drums yet.

Do you think it would be better with male vocals?

No, my preference is definitely female vocals on this sort of track. I think they work well here too.

It would be good to hear a hight bitrate version.

I'm a little torn at the moment. The DnB part is good, as is usually the case from you, but I'm not convinced it's working as a game soundtrack just yet. I think there's too much heavy DnB going on with a smattering of orchestration thrown in. I feel they're two separate parts that just happen to work together fairly well.

I will say though, that the hybrid orchestral/electronic thing is ing hard to do well so as a first attempt it's pretty hot :p

You should reference Michael McCann's Deus Ex work. No THAT is how it should be done in my opinion.

Cheers, I'll try and make better drums that evolve more slowly as I think this could help the melding of the d&b and orchestral.

I did listen to the stuff you mentioned, and jolly good it is, but I'm not after a full blown orchestral filmscore thang with a smattering of slowish drums, I was influenced by some recent games I heard the music to where the emphasis was more on the drums and edm side even though they contained some orchestral elements. I'm also not interested in for example perfect string scapes as that has been done many times by expert producers and not something I'm interested in trying to do (would need to invest in some really good sampleware anyway to even get close to pulling it off).

Appreciate the honesty and will use this to try and make improvements.

What's the stuff you've been influenced by so far?

Nice work so far.

Although I think in game this might be a bit too full on. I suppose it depends on the type of mission.

This defo has fast paced shoot 'em up trailer written all over it though.

Hard to comment on the over all sound due to youtube, but so far I like what I am hearing.

Cheers
