I'd love your feedback on this - I've been a little slow with tunes recently - mainly trying to get my bass lines driving a bit..

would love to have tranceaddict criticism on this - it's proper trance 140bpm like it should be.

cheers

I'm new here so I'm just going to say I think it is pretty polished sounding already and has the intensity and drive needed to blow up the club. What are u using for your crunchy high leads and your powerful pads that porta up into the builds?

Man, I didn't see you hear for some time lol, I hope you didn't thinking about quitting production

As always really cool and quite clean track (WIP) at the moment - melodic attributes are well establish and carry on over the whole length of this track - sweet man.

One thing (and this is or could be my personal preference only) is this kick is not gluing with the rest of the sound, I guess it could be matter of EQ it right way but at least is not, lets put this way, perfect yet ;)

Rest is really cool and sweet.

Couple of things.

The drop 4:03 ish is a big disapointment. It's a mess sonically and packs no punch what so ever, which is a shame because it detracts from what is otherwise a great piece of work.

There is a nice clarity with your work and I think this makes it stand out on the whole from many of the other tracks here.

You say it's a 140bpm, but it doesn't feel like it. If that's the case there is something in the bottom end that is killing it and causes the over all energy to drop a lot.

This has great potential though and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for taking the time to have a listen guys!

I've had another go at it here:

think it all sits a bit better and hopefully have fixed the break/drop

think I've fixed the drag in the bottom end with a bit of compression and now it's 138 because it can be now (rather than 140)

cheers for the constructive comments - hop that this version picks up on them.

PS there are a few artifacts from an effect I'm using that need cleaning up - but it's an annoying job so I'm going to leave it to the end!

Take my opinion with a kilo of salt.

Engineering and sound design wise it's 99% there, only thing that sticks out is transition fx at 1:42
Composition and arrangement wise. I don't like 1:10 melody. It's too soft and it feels like it's setting up a tune that's soft and in major key - not in character with the rest of the track
2:56 rolling bass drops out too suddenly, I'd like something like a fade out
4:15 melody solves poorly imo, change chord progression and melody there, it's ing up otherwise excellent track
personally I'd be much happier if the tune started like 5:15 then went 5:00 then into 2:25.

Overall very good work.

It's getting there but I still think there are issues both in terms of levels and at this moment in time the over all mix is very harsh and heavy as it favours the high end too much.

Cheers Vercetti and Nemesis - spot on comments - i like your idea about the structure- think I'll try that

Nemisis - you're right - it's been a struggle getting it to sound crunchy and bassey - needs a bit more work I think

cheers for taking the time!
