I had to teach my little sister a lesson today

She threw away a sandwich her dad made her for breakfast. I guess she didnt like it.

Well my grandma took the sandwich out of the trash while she was at school and put it on the counter saying, "What a waste of food, give it to the birds at least."

My little sister came home and I asked her if she threw away the sandwich, she kept telling me "No, I ate mine. No, I ate mine."

So 10 minutes later I walk back into the kitchen and notice the sandwich sitting on the counter still - it's apparent that my little sister took more bites of it to cover her tracks and only left the crusts.

I walked into her room.

I told her it's ok not to eat something if you don't like it, but lying about it or eating it after it's been in the trash - let alone it being eggs sitting out all day - is not good. And that we care because it was a waste of food, not because she didnt want to eat her dad's ty breakfast.

She finally admitted she didn't eat it this morning and did so now because she didnt want to get in trouble for throwing it away. She asked if I would tell my mom and I told her, "No, but you need to learn a lesson from this, ok?"

She looked like she was tearing up and said sorry.

I threw the rest of the sandwich to the ducks and alligators in the back.

Man, I used to feel sooo guilty when I threw out parts of my lunch. Only because after school my dad would ask "How was your lunch, did you like your sandwich??! :D" All pumped, because he put love and effort into it.

Yea, I threw a lot of the school lunches my dad packed for me away, too.

All because I wanted to eat lunch at school like the cool kids. ing stupid. And it's probably why I've been cursed with going hungry through certain times in my life.

I think that's why I made it a point to talk to her about it. Big bro style.

I thought this thread would have been about spanking.

did you just say alligators in the back?

My mom's backyard faces a pond that all of the houses in the neighborhood wrap around.

There's all kinds of wildlife that migrate in and out of it throughout the year. Flamingos, ducks, alligators, turtles, fish, etc.

But yea, gators are commonplace throughout Florida no matter where you're at.

Alligator is crazy. It's like a perfect crossover of chicken and fish. Really interesting.

So I'm sitting out back enjoying my Crown Black and the rain when something decides to come by and eat the leftovers of the sandwich.

Now it's just standing around waiting for more.
