Vanguard - "The Next Chapter"

Just got this email today about Vanguard:

"The next chapter in Los Angeles nightlife has arrived with sbe’s acquisition of VANGUARD!

Boasting over 20,000 square feet of interactive indoor and outdoor spaces, VANGUARD offers four distinctive environments for revelry, as well as the largest LED screen in Hollywood. Known as the epicenter of the EDM movement on the West Coast, VANGUARD will continue to showcase globally relevant DJs and artists in mind-blowing fashion. Elevating the space and overall experience, sbe has infused its unrivaled approach to VIP service, event production and programming in a manner that will once again re-invent the Hollywood nightlife scene. To celebrate the acquisition, sbe is throwing an epic VANGUARD NEW YEAR'S EVE party, featuring performances by the internationally acclaimed Thomas Gold and Vice."

Edit: The flyer showed "SBE + Insomniac Presents," so safe to assume that Insomniac will be promoting this venue? If that's the case, would make sense for them to book Trance/Tech DJ's there, since they also have Inception @ Exchange downtown the same night which is House...

living in Hollywood, this is much easier for me to get to but I have a feeling we'll be dealing with a bit more douchier crowd.

i think you have a good theory. Exchange is probably not making as much money on their Saturday nights compared to when they had their asian nights hosted on Saturdays.

though Insomniac seems to have just taken the well known djs from the clubs and put them at the Palladium for 4,000 person shows instead.

i noted in the other thread where we were talking about this that its more of a partnership b/w SBE and Insomniac that I would have originally guessed.... i assume Insomniac will book the djs and SBE will renovate the venue and bring in good service plus the hollywood crowd.

Well for NYE they've got Thomas Gold and DJ Vice headlining (I think Vice is upstairs in Agency but I'm not sure). I'll be opening up the main room early on and then playing tech house in the gold room, if you want to come out help another TA-er out by buying tix here:

ing SBE is everywhere, wtf. I'm curious as to how they will spiff up Vanguard since that venue looks like .

Since this is by SBE, I doubt exchange will be effected as they won't really cater to the same djs. Vanguard will be more mainstream top 10 djs(electro house) whereas exchange will still stick to trance.
