In my opinion, there are great elements, but as a whole it's a mess. If re-arranged and bits removed, it could turn into something really neat.

Sounds nasty tbh.. Inspired by TFR?
Rodri Santos
First 8 bars is what i had in mind , the rest is quick improvisation and feels like forced no doubt. What does TFR mean? I had something creepy in mind but at the same time the sound is a christmas sound in my mind... strange irony xD i must be the grinch
Deillon
Sorry man, you had me interested till the eighth bar, after that it just sounds like random shifts from chord to chord.
Looney4Clooney
pretty awful.
would not consider this a melody. Just arpeggiated chords that don't seem to know where they want to go. Voice leading is atrocious and the timbre you chose is probably the most annoying sound i've heard in a while.

I actually expected worse criticism from you, this is a raw draft i'd not judge the sound design as it doesn't even have an eq on the channel.
About the melody i think i'll stick with this 8 bars of the original design as the rest is probably as you said chords without any further intention.

ahm, yes i knew this track it's in a compillation i own for sure but
It was actually this.
Which has a very similar sound too if not the same.
tehlord
Doesn't really work at all for me.
I'd agree that it sounds like you're playing random chords into an arpeggiator.
Evolve140
Doesn't work man. Random chords staggered together. Just because every chord progression has been used doesn't mean melody can't be summoned properly. Don't try so hard.

I like first 8 bars, onwards sucks even for me due to its randomness the rest works theoretically but sounds too weird.
Now i understand that different doesn't mean better.
