Progressive Monkey Crew is thrilled to invite you all to celebrate the beginning of 2013 and to wish a happy farewell to an amazing DJ and our dearest friend, ZEV, who is leaving us to his new adventure in Australia. Marcus was busy since the late eighties with hip hop, downbeat, electro, techno and trance. From the beginning of his career, he has consistently strived to redefine the boundaries of underground dance music.
Marcus has been responsible for some of the biggest trance tracks over the last 15 years and is definitely one of the most important representative in the global tech-trance scene today, with a number of successful projects including The Delta, X-Dream, Downhill, Der Interpret.....
Here comes "the pioneer" of techno-trance combining the best out of both worlds, check him out!

DESONANZ (GER/CAN) - Live!

Desonanz- is a rapidly growing offshoot of the creative alliance between Marcus C.Maichel (The Delta, X-Dream, Hamburg, DE) & Frederik Hatsav (Metalogic, Toronto, CA).
Sharing almost three decades of production experience between the two and closely following each other’s works for years, it is not until 2008 that Hatsav and Maichel began to suspect a collaborative potential. Maichel’s gig in Toronto in the fall of 2008, followed with a “just for kicks” friendly jam at Hatsav’s home based recording studio, resulted in the birth ofGrenzfrequenz-12” EP released on German Nachtstrom Schallplatten later that year. Made possible by technology and a number of back and force Hamburg-Toronto trips, 2011 has resulted in another 12” on Nachtrom Shlappaten (2nd Next), as well as several remixes for the label.
2012 is keeping Desonanz busy with 12” EP Lunch Box(Starkstrom Schallplatten) as well as a growing number of upcoming remixes, including one for Perc.
Desonanz promises to challenge the status quo of today’s monochromatic techno scene. Enwrapped in the aura of deeply sophisticated underground, Desonanz’ sound is a bass heavy, organic blend of rhythmic noise, industrial and dub. Intelligence without the pretence, freedom in the structure, and functional creativity are the few key features of the Desonanz sound system. It might take an attentive listener to get a real good taste of it, but once hooked –there is no way back.
