I've kinda been obsessing over this since I got my new phone, it's actually just a ty $17 trac phone but I've been able to link up to it via bluetooth and transfer images and audio. Actually kinda surprising, it's like if this was a smartphone you'd expect to be able to do that but it's just this ty cheap flipphone so it's more exciting for some reason. I've also been trying to figure out how to use an audio file as the voicemail message but I don't think that's happening. Anyway here is my new ringtone for when I get text messages, I know you are all dying to hear it, yes I have no life

I'm working on an actual call tone right now and I'll be sure to update this thread when it's finished. This is really exciting for me.

its one of my biggest annoyances of the iphone is that message tones can't be easily swapped... i am not happy with apple's hostile takeover of the received sms soundscape...

lovely work mate... got quite a kick out of doing this when i had a blackberry and every sound imaginable was customizable... might get back into it

has anyone hacked/changed iphone msg tones before?

There's no need really on my S3. You can make any audio file your ring tone, no matter the length. Currently, my ringtone is Full on Fluoro episode 18.

Yes, I chop breakdowns, buildups or crazy sequences on ableton live and I send it later to my Galaxy S3. Lots of old sander van doorn riffs there...
:wtf:

another thing I found out is the phone does collapse stereo mp3s into mono, I sent over an mp3 with a sound out of phase and it canceled out
