Song has a nice storyline and nice sounds

If your not a dj ,get some dj software.
Then you can mix your song into another song and hear where you need to change volumes.

Or search for a song that is the same bpm as your song
And drop that song in your sequencer on an audio channel
Then you can use the end of that song to mix yours in it and beginning too
Just cut the song in 2 pieces end moved to start and beginning moved to end.
Thats the best and easiest way to check if your volumes are loud enough

Play the 2 songs together and you'll hear if your sounds are still hearable or not
Think thats the best tip in your case cos melodies and instruments are nice
You just need to balance your mix better with volumes.

The kick is completely lost in the mix.
And the bass is also very empty ,without warmth.
Now the melodic elements sound louder than kick and bass.
And then it doesn't sound warm and full.

May bee you used a heavy limiter or Ozone preset or Yamaha finalicer.
It sounds a bit like the cd mastering preset from the Yamaha finalicer plugin.
That also takes away warmth from bass and kick to make it very loud.
But that preset i find not really functional as master output preset.
More to boost individual sounds.

So if your un-mastered version does have more bass warmth
Then i would try a different preset or if Ozone 5 turn fader of limiter or maximizer down a bit.
Hope it helps :)

PS
I do use Ozone sometimes.
But imo you get the best mastering done at the sequencer
So by changing volumes of individual instruments in your mix.
Not by editing the full song with maximizers.

I made the sounds with z3ta+ and Rapture by Calkwalk.

I see the problem is the volumes' balance between the instruments.
I used a strong multiband compressor's preset so the low ended up getting smaller.
And I have DJ software so I'll try. Also with my DAW.

Thanks for your advice.
