Need help with automation on reason 5

| So I've made a gated pad in reason 5. I need to know how to automate the volume on it. I've tried edit automation on my combinator for filter frequency 1 and still not working. Help? |

| right click the volume knob, select automate. start drawing. if not working then read the manual. |
