Top 3 parties in no order
1. Minus @ Space- Minimal Tech and Tech House on the terrace from some of the best in the game. Vibe was thick...
2. CLR @ Elysium, DEMF- Speedy J vs Chris Liebing... This is what techno is supposed to be. Relentless for 5+ hours
3. Guy Gerber @ Art Basel- Dude is a complete mind-twister. Can't decide if his Treehouse set or his afterhours tag with Troxler was best, but the Guy drops some serious tunes and layers effects like nobody I've ever seen.
Top 3 Tracks
1. Matador- Blond Slackers (Rebekah remix) ...has all the elements and is ridiculous on a big system
2. Motor- Hyperlust (Monoloc Remix)... Deep, Heavy, Haunting = Sick
3. Maxxi Soundsystem- Stella's Way ...heard Sasha drop this at Kennedy. Goes off
Honorable Mention (cuz it's too hard to pick just 3!)

Yes, that party that CLR does at Elysium in Detroit is so damn good. Perfect venue for that kind of techno too, huh? Did that show in 2011, and planning to be there in 2013 too.
And yeah, Matador is pretty much the -- everything he makes is sick. I like his Kingswing track, came out in late 2011 but I didn't hear it until 2012 so it counts. Lol. |
