Competition is good for the consumer right? Now tickets will be 2x as much :whip:

Why would prices go up? If competition increases and demand is still the same, then price stays same or even goes down.

If promoters are having to pay increased booking fees, that means ticket prices go up to balance the cost to revenue ratio. Just look at Marquee, the first year they opened tickets were like $20 for most events, now they're %50 minimum. Sure, they're raising prices because they can, but they're also raising them because the DJs fees are going through the roof.

As long as demand is there, prices will increase. With DJs getting larger payouts, it just makes it that much easier for them to justify that price increase.

Bingo. With all this new EDM/Vegas hype, maybe SoCal will finally get a bullet train. That X train thing is a joke; if I'm paying $100, I better be there quicker than a in a car.

That is pretty crazy. Someone should "disrespect" that guy in the Hollywood clubs and have him to redo Circus with his "unlimited budget."

NOOO... Because it will become a douche club. lol Whoever invests on it, better be someone who's musically educated and wants to keep the legacy going. lol

I'd rather have it exist as any type of club to even have a legacy. I really don't see how it's been able to even stay open this long with the numbers on Saturday nights. Maybe Circus survives on the Friday night crowd and the Saturday Arena crowd? But with LMD leaving and no news on a big promoter replacing them for Saturdays that I've heard about, I'm not too hopeful for that place if no one puts some time/money into it to bring in talent whose management demands a top tier club.

It's big enough where they could put tables all around the dance floor and it wouldn't bother me. As long as they aren't in the center of the dance floor like some places. Plus, even if it was douche club central for a little while, eventually the "newness" would wear off and that crowd would go to the next new, shiny club and Circus will still have the sound and decor upgrades it's needed for a long time.

I'm pretty sure Circus makes money off their other nights and off their concerts. I've been there for latin concerts and they get packed!!! Really packed.

I agree with you about the newness wearing off. But yea, Circus need upgrades.
