| Proud owner of a Fiat Uno 1994 here. Anyone else driving a car from the 90s? From the 80s or the 70s, perhaps? |

Used to have a 1976 Chevy Caprice on 22s with a candy paint job.
Now I have a 1996 Honda Accord.
As much as I loved that Chevy, the Honda is a much smarter choice. |

Was the Chevy older than you, Orangest? For some reason I don't think of you as someone in his mid/late thirties :p

Love it. I hope you have some sort of Logan's Run airbrush theme on the side panels. |

Mine is shorter with wood paneling.
Okay, okay. Wood paneling decals bloated from underneath with outcroppings of corrosion near the edges. As far as science fiction themes go, Road Warrior is more what we're looking at, here. It's so bad that you can hear the wind hitting the body-panel insulation from the corroded underside. If you can imagine the sound of a heavy-duty garbage bag filled with Styrofoam peanuts, being jostled by the wind - that's pretty much the noise. The paint job is all but an after-thought; a mostly worn away, generic shade of brown that has left a drab, sort of rust colored camouflage pattern on the hood and roof. Tire rims are completely rusted and hubcaps removed - there was one or two left, when I got here. We joke that it is held together with a sticker that came with Fallout 3 and enjoy Michigan's complete lack of any sort of automotive inspection, what-so-ever.
It would be illegal to operate it, elsewhere. |
