I tried a Jabuticaba off my girlfriend's dad's backyard tree a week ago.
It grows directly from the bark, which I thought was interesting. |

I hate them as well. We don't even say they're Brazilian here, and we put the blame on a state in the Amazon :p
It's funny you mention jabuticaba as if it is something exotic. Although, come to think of it, I had cranberry juice for the first time last year, and I thought it was pretty exotic myself...
