Best Foreign Electronic Track

Too many people, Holland seems to be the centre of Trance music with the dutch trancemasters Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Armin (in no particular order). That's where the extreme parties are....great substances, women and men...not to mention their record stores! I am speaking as if I've been there before....yes I had...but that was back in 1992, which was donkey years ago....

Anyways, I have plans this Decemember this time to celebrate my hearts out in Amsterdam.. :)

On that note, I've just stumbled upon the foreign scene. The US definately are moving trance to a more progressive feel. Toronto is said to be centre of progressive music with Release Records situtated here and Max Graham, a very impressive individual who does incredible stuff on the tables with his quick fingers.

The tune that got me started into electronic tunes was actually a song produced by a Japanese techy hip-hopish group called TRF.

Check out these tunes if you fancy popish tunes from Ayu.

TRF - Boy Meets Girl (Original 12" Mix)
TRF - Boy Meets Girl (DJ Koo Mix)

You should also check out this tune if you a PvD fan...since there is such a huge alliance going on:

Denki Groove - Niji (Paul Van Dyk's Pot of Gold Remix)

These tunes are sorta technoish....not cheesy at all IMO. Take a listen, it's easy listening... All produced in 95'-96'.

Cheers!

well how would you define foreign?

songs without english titles? songs not sung in english? producers who neither lives in europe or north america?

then how about Sorten Muld? interesting blend of techno and folk, and they're from Denmark. United Future Organization has 2 japaneses and a frenchman, does that count as foreign? Towa Tei and Ken Ishii are japaneses too, but they're pretty well known in the techno scene. PPK are russians, but they're signed to Perfecto. well, here's another... Boris Midney, russian progressive trance producer.

also, did you know TRF stands for "TK Rave Factory", while TK are the initials of Komuro Tetsuya, the man behind the project?

Radiotrance (Estonian) - Get "plasma" <-that's just perfect! Be aware that some of their songs are happy hardcore (the rest is trance... outstanding, by the way)

Yoji Biomehanika (Japanese) - Look @ the heaven <- My favourite tune ever

DJ Tigrão (Brazilian) - Abstract <- Ever heard?

Antiloop (Swedish) - Purpose in Life (or anything else from them... they're mint)

M4J (Brazilian) - Macumba (or Capoeira) <- Cult Brazilian Trance... not very exciting, but shows a bit of our culture

Influx (Brazilian) - Crack <- fast and cool

Maaz (Brazilian) - hehe, just kidding, I've never released any of my tunes :D

I'll add some more others later

hehe, if you liked these, try:

Smile - Butterfly

It's actually from that "Dance Dance Revolution" thing, but quite addictive (well, after listening to this same song 5 times in a row anything is addictive :D How do I know? Because it was being played during a bus trip and the bloody CD player didn't recognise any other tracks - plus, the bus driver liked this one and wouldn't let us change CD's :p)
