Makes the 0c run I am about to go on seem rather tropical.

And that guy's point is that a pan of steaming water turned into snow in about 7 seconds. Or, to put it in another way, Siberia is ing cold.

IN THIS FORUM WE OBEY THE LAWS OF THERMODYNAMICS.

Is that actual physics, or just complete drunken nonsense?

My comment was actually sarcastic. I made a new years resolution to be less pedantic, but I just can't help it. I recommend reading up on thermodynamics, as a starting point at least ;)

It's drunken nonesense chemistry.

At reasonably normal pressures water isn't going to go straight from boiling to snow. Barring some kind've hectic particle accelerator setup (since temperature is after all an average). If people don't understand chemistry there's plenty of videos on khan academy on it on youtube.
