GLAZZ Nightclub Review Gary Beck Party

Hey everyone...A friend asked me to say a couple words about this place so here goes
I checked this place out when Gary was playing.This review will have nothing to do with gary, he played great..first off parking is terrible and they want $20 to valet the car....they make a big beef about the dress code there but it really didnt seem to be anyone following it, i had sneakers on, but they were blue suede...would they busted balls if they were white?
I had a comp waiting for me there....when i got to the register and did what I was told to do..they told me they didnt know him or where he was blah blah ....and i really didnt want to make an issue and wanted to get into the club after jerking around trying to find a spot for a half hour with my friends were already in there...(OOOO and dont start tryin to go around the blocks looking for parking there, u will be taken miles out of the way i promise u!!!)) anyway after getting robbed for $40 i went in a dropped another $5 at the coat check....ok into the club now....it is a very nice club, lights up really cool outside...anyway meet up with my friends an watched about 20 bouncers smashing there way to the dancefloor with anthony lamont annoucing over the mic about a fight. Are u guys getting the idea? can u picture walking around this great space getting your drinks knocked over and getting dirty looks??? well that is what is was like...we finally got into the booth area which made it a bit more tolerable...danny t and boris were hanging there as well, why i have know clue...they must have really wanted to hear gary :)
The crowd there is hard, it is not going to be that friendly EDM crowd you will be used too....drink prices are high and the water has their label on it after they finish bottling it in the basement...
OK it was 3:45 and the lights were getting bright in there so i knew they were gonna close at 4...so I figured I should get over to the coat check...yes people cutting pushing u name it...walked out the door to another fight with bouncers and some guy
I am very aggravated because liebing is playing there at the end of the month and I really wanna hear him but I just cant get comfortable in this place...If I do go I know right now it is not going to be one of those unforgettable nights..(maybe because so terrible?).I am also a bit confused...I know techno is definitely getting a bit more main stream but I didnt think it has gone this far.....i dont think 95% of the club knows who is playing or cares

| anthony lamont should be banned from nightclubs or at least any sort of microphone usage. it blows my mind DJs are ok with him spewing nonsense from his mouth during their sets and ruining some great buildups. he was absolutely beyond annoying at ace alvarez's bday at cielo 2.5 weeks ago. we're there to hear the music, not your bull that has nothing to do w anything hearing you go "eeeeeeeewwwww" every in 5-15 minutes. |

yea i just dont get it. this is house music not in drum n bass. we dont need an MC thanks. |

I cant believe that Lamont is allowed to pull his . I thought Liebing is gonna push him off the booth when he started singing during his set |

I've been saying it for how long on here that his act is tired....but yet some people will always defend his antics |

Thanks for the detailed review.
It sounds like this will be another one of those clubs that will fade away (unfortunately)
And its closing at 4? It's 4am when music gets real at most parties I go to these days .... |

| Thanks for the review, I also will pass on hitting this spot up. This seems like a local spot for local knuckleheads mainly. As long as Chris gets paid it's all good but it won't be from my pockets. |
