| They could move it elsewhere. Bayfront is kind of small for all those people. I felt like a sardine in a can there this year. |

Pasquale said a few months ago that EDC will never go two weekends.
As for Ultra, I think they need a new venue period. The reason I won't be going this year is single handedly because of Bayfront. The venue is way too small, everything is smashed into each other, sound bleeds through each stage, and there’s not enough drink and pee stations. It was just a giant mess for me.
I wouldn't get too worked up over this, it is just a formal approach so they can act as if they're trying to support what the community wants. Ultimately, all the city wants is money, and Ultra provides a lot of it. Not only that, but I am sure permits are already given, so I don't think they can just pull those without some sort of negative effect, like a lawsuit etc. |

| WHy would they announce two weekends if they didn't have it pinned down? |

Doubtful. If they had to cancel a weekend it'd be the first one. The second weekend has the SHM finale show, don't think they'll cancel that. Plus this drama is pointless, they already had a meeting and one of the politicians blatantly said dead presidents would have to be exchanged. Ah, America...

It seems they had it pinned down as well as they could. They had the venue locked down it's just that the city is swooping in at the last minute saying "hey, that ". |

SHM are both weekends.
remember the City doesn't look at which weekend makes more sense to cancel... just one or the other.
and its apparently just a city council person putting forth a motion due to complains from residents and business (which i totally get). it has to be passed then they have to take action against Bayfront which may or may not have to follow the City of Miami. |

not enough demand for two EDCs, they barely sell out their 100k tickets (i.e. couple weeks prior), whereas Coachella sold out out 160k tickets (taking into account presales) in a matter of minutes last year |
