Immortals, hear, said Jove, and cease to jar! Tea must succeed to Wine as Peace to War. Nor by the grape let man be set at odds, but share in Tea, the nectar of the Gods.

Genmaicha, as Adam noted.
Chai - quite fond of the Tazo organic version - unless I'm out having an espresso, it's pretty much replaced coffee for me.
Licorice - great for soothing the throat. From these folk, who are pretty much the go-to for medicinal teas - http://www.traditionalmedicinals.com/
Ginger - no-brainer, make it yourself by thinly slicing raw ginger, then steeping it for 10-15 mins. Great for cold-weather climes.

ing Hell, a thread about Tea and I'm the only English man to represent.

Pffft at twinings. The diet coke of Tea.

The best Earl Grey is Taylors of Harrogate with double Bergamot. really difficult to find but by far the best commercially available Earl Grey.

As for Green Tea, there's a Japanese store downtown that sells premium stuff. no idea of the name, but it's cheaper and better than anything else out there.

...but it's all about the water; you want a proper cuppa, has to be hard, English water. I even brought a bottle of tap water back from London to LA last week just to make a real breakfast/builders tea.

Red Zinger is my favorite.

Green Tea if I'm out somewhere, since I don't drink coffee.

Sleepy Time Tea is relaxing before bed; although, I don't know if this is a so-called "placebo effect" or not. I haven't had this one but a few times when I quit smoking weed and needed to fall asleep. That with some melatonin did the trick.

And if I feel I'm catching a cold, Echinacea Tea works great.

Nah, there is actually something to sleepytime. Stuff doesn't work on me but neither does massive doses of Melatonin, but the missus and a bunch of friends swear by it to get them to sleep.

please don't mention your plebeian tea bag bull . I want to hear about premium fresh teat that costs money, not poor man's twining's bull . Thanks for the filtered water tip. Did not think about that.

This thread inspired me to give my roommate the celestial seasoning vs Lipton challenge. He's more of a Pepsi drinker anyways but I figured what the hell. He took a couple sips of both. They were each green tea variety but one was with lemon flavor. Automatically he assumed the Lipton had the lemon flavor but he was wrong. I would have thought the same thing myself since I associate lemon with Lipton tea as well but the fact is that Liptonwas straight green tea while celestial seasoning was the one with the hint of lemon.

I love tea. Stash makes the best Earl Grey, imo.
