Music maturity came swiftly for the now seasoned-veteran Robbert van de Corput, better known as Hardwell. At the age of 24, the ripened heavyweight has created a legacy that would put most of his counterparts to shame. An award-winning DJ, producer, musician, label manager, lover of all things music, and #6 ranked in the DJ Mag Top 100, Hardwell has not only helped shape the current state of EDM, but has left an everlasting imprint.
Like his great mentor Tiësto, Hardwell proudly hails from Breda, a city tucked deep within the Netherlands. At the young age of 13, Hardwell’s talents were so advanced that he was able capture the ears of a major Dutch label. Shortly after signing, Hardwell was spinning at all the major clubs across the Netherlands. Hardwell’s international breakthrough came with his “Show Me Love vs. Be” bootleg, which became one of the popular and played dance hits of 2009. From this point on, a star was born.
Dannic

Dannic “slash” DJ, producer and mash-up maestro from Breda in the Netherlands – the hometown of Tiësto, Funkerman & Hardwell (something in the water, perhaps?) This talented fellow won fans early in his career thanks to a series of amazing mash-ups. Bootlegs like Axwell vs. Julie McKnight – How Soon is Glory, Tim Mason & Laidback Luke vs. Adele – The Moment Is Rolling In God’s Air (Funkadelic Bootleg), Feel So Close 2 Unite Us (Dannic Bootleg) and My Feelings For Hells Bells (Dannic MashUp). These tracks remain a staple in the sets of Tiësto, Avicii, Hardwell, Nicky Romero and Bingo Players to name a few.
Daan Romers (in real life) won the Dancetour DJ contest in 2009 and a slot playing his productions to an audience of 10,000 people. The following year his remix of Funkerman’s Automatic won the Funkerman remix contest and got himself added to Hardwell’s new label Revealed Recordings. Those in the know already knew he was one to watch, but to a wider audience, Dannic had arrived.
Dyro

Like a finely tuned Ferrari, Dyro’s career has accelerated with awe-inspiring speed. In 2011, aged just 19, he found that he had both the time and the focus to make the leap from music fan to music maker. A true perfectionist, he spent months honing his skills before finally gaining the confidence to put his work online. It wasn’t long before a series of lucky coincidences connected the tunes on his Soundcloud page with a true influencer and one of Dyro’s own personal heroes – Hardwell.
In December 2011 Dyro released his first EP on Hardwell’s label, Revealed Recordings. The impact was instantaneous, and soon his tunes were in the bags of a veritable hit parade of international DJ superstars. Afrojack, David Guetta, Tiësto, Sander van Doorn, Dada Life, Laidback Luke and of course Hardwell himself all came out in support of this talented young producer. Crowds worldwide were quickly introduced to tunes like Daftastic, Metaphor and Magno. The crowds responded admirably, going absolutely ballistic whenever his productions appeared. |
