Wow... I'm still getting over the fact that I went to a party in a church... in Toronto! This party was outstanding - venue is incredible and large (size of guv main room), acoustics and sound were great, music was on point and the light show was excellent. My only complaint was the crowd. They let too many people in (including a lot of teens) and they were a pushy bunch! Twice I saw 'dance circles' with a group of people... forcing a large buffer in between your friends on a very crowded dance floor is NOT cool. Take that back to the top 40 club you came from. This place has SO much potential. The church is absolutely gorgeous and big enough to bring in some seriously big djs. Platform are you listening?? There's another party next Saturday by a different promoter so it sounds like the church isn't just letting only Mansion use their space.

Great night except for the coat check situation.
I came in a light zip up sweater - a little chilly outside and a little warm inside when dancing hard (unzipping helps a lot) but worth it to save myself in the line to drop the coat off and pick it up and save some cash.

I thought it was going to be colder last night so I wore a big, thick jacket. I don't mind paying a couple bucks to be comfortable both at the party and on the way home. The problem though being that coat check filled up rather quickly. So rather than lugging around my coat all night I stuck it under a bench at the side...and then found it soaked in beer at the end of the night, lol (but hey, at least it wasn't stolen).

lol, fair enough!
another problem with coat check is that if you're a smoker or someone that likes to get fresh air a few times over the course of the night - you're screwed for that extra layer out in the cold so hiding your coat or coming in just a sweater wins there as well.

I try to avoid coat check if at all possible just to save me the hassle it usually beings with it. It's worth it to me to be a little cold before and after.

agreed. wish i had gotten there earlier as they were out of beer and water which was annoying. stashed my coat and was lucky it didn't get stolen, i heard other people weren't as fortunate
personally i wasn't that into the music but it was definitely a unique experience and i would probably go back. normally i love live sets but kink's just didn't really do it for me
