Great mix, I especially loved the first part of it, the nice spacious proggy vibes. I didn't know any of the tracks on this going in (and the only artist names I recognized were Liquid Soul and Jerome Isma-ae), so it was nice to hear a lot of new music, and the mixing is excellent. |
Thanks Luke, I'm glad you liked it! Seemed like it might be right up TA's alley.

I know I know, I'm slack with the review. BUT I did listen to most of it the other day whilst at work and enjoyed muchly.
Will strap myself into the immersion tank, smash up my phone and listen to this in quiet reflection at some point this weekend player. |

Nick, this is an absolutely cracking mix. It's just the kind of prog-trance that I love. All the rich, thick bass lines just have so much energy and groove.
As far as the mixing goes, you obviously know what you're doing. There's not a lot more to say on that. I didn't notice any hiccups at all, though I'm going to be giving this a good number of listens even after this :o
Your flow is pretty spot on too; you've got a nice tension/release thing happening for the most part, which lends itself to this kind of music very well.
As far as the "psy" influences go in this mix, they were pretty relaxed. This is not a bad thing, because (as I'm sure you know by now :p) a lot of the mixes you post are a bit too intense for my tastes. Most of this, I would even hesitate to call prog-psy. Basically, you've just laid down a phat ing prog mix, and I like it :D
I'm going to pick out my favourite tracks after a couple more listens.
Nice work though :D |

A real review!? For me? Wow. Well, I accept you.

Yeah, I dig this vibe. The slower, chunkier, groovier proggy stuff with an ever so slight hint of the psy. I played stuff similar to this on the radio the other day WHICH YOU MISSED
This here mix kicks off a new year with a new vibe. I always want to keep improving my sound, trying different things and keeping it interesting. My favorite track on this by far is Klopfgeister - Meanwhile in Hamburg, but things get pretty diesel when I start getting around the Homework, Heavy Prophet, Millstone section.
This is gonna be a good year. Thanks for the listen, Stu :) |

| Nick, I've listened to this a couple of times and really enjoyed it. I've had it on at work so havent been concentrating on it 100% but there are some cracking tunes on there and the mixing is very tight. I was hoping I'd be able to give you some more detailed feedback but I havent had the chance to listen to it in its entirety and give it full attention. I will endeavour to do so! |

Don't worry about a full fledged review mate, I'm just glad you took a listen or three. This type of music isn't exactly lending itself to lots of discussion, it's just some beefy prog. But thanks anyway! When's your next mix coming? In between gigs? |

Listened to this one as well. I went on a TA mix rampage the other day.
This mix brought back some pretty awesome memories. I remember spinning more of this style (ala Lish) before I turned to slower progressive. This mix reminded me 100% of Lish's album that they released in 2011: Miles Away. Granted, that mix wasn't what Lish used to make before, but your mix definitely reminded me of that style.
The good thing about this mix though is that it wasn't boring or uninspired like Lish's Miles Away. Once again, your mixing is quite commendable. I'm just a nitpicker, but for me this style kind of grants longer transitions and more layering at some points in this mix, but that's just me being an .
Regardless, I haven't heard a mix like this in a while that wasn't boring, uninspired progressive house with psy-ish/trance-ish stuff going on. If you catch my drift. Kudos on delivering !! Especially at 77:00.. :eyes: |

Listened to this bertha a couple of times now, loving some of the transitions, proper tight mixing Nick. The Rhythm Nectar tracks were cool, I'll be watching that name from now on.
White Resonance - Lady Mistique is the stand out. Love the looping synths. |
