I'm super stoked bc I've finally finished my first production! I'm not saying it's the best record in the world, but I do think it's darned good. All criticism will be accepted openly! Let me know what you think: https://soundcloud.com/paolofox/la-terazza

Cool mix bro..

Not bad for a first track. lacks punch in the mix, some of the sounds sit a bit to loud but promising for first production. keep on producing and learning!

Ya, my buddy said the same thing about the punch. He called it "warmth" and said so after hooking an EQ up to it. He said it lacked a bit of a low end. Not quite sure if this is something mastering can help out with, but I if so I'll have it professionally mastered. Though I would love to do it myself I'm just not "there" yet and seem to feel that the technicalities are stunting my cretivity. Thanks for the feedback!

Yep...just what Top said. I have been at this for about 2 years now myself, and still very much a noob. I didnt quite understand 16 months ago what someone meant when they used the word...production. Now, I find myself delving more into the production side (EQ-Compression-Sidechaining-Pass filters)than I am on actual arrangement. Not everything I have learned I have followed but at least I know. It is so very important as a producer to understand how effects and use of EQ work in a mix. I highly suggest researching this.
