Basic Soul Unit, aka Stuart Li is a deep techno producer from Toronto and I'm a big fan of hi stuff. I saw him DJ in Detroit at a Movement afterparty and he just killed it.. he then played live in Montreal at Mutek, caught him again. I became a fan of his music.. this one's a stomper!
anyways he throws monthly Footprint parties, the music is a cross over of jazz and funk.. any of you guys ever been? Are you a fan of his music? I love what he's been doing... he's becoming very popular in the underground scene for his deep acid techno and house. I would love to check out his parties..
Nice! his album is dropping this month I believe, looking forward to hearing it. No love for acid in Toronto?

I don't think most of the TOTA crowd is into the more underground stuff, which is a shame because there are some really sick parties in Toronto these days.

I've seen basic soul unit live quite a few times, pretty good i'd say..
