I have no idea if this is the right forum, but I'm assuming so. I'm new here if you couldn't tell:happy2: Anyway, I am a producer and I've been playing around with ableton and I wanna get into dubstep. This is my intro so far. What should I change? What should I make louder or softer? The other thing i'm trying to figure out is what should my drop be? Something original, and I'd like it to be vocals of some sort. And nothing too "hard" since its a somewhat slow or "soft" song. Thanks guys, and here is the link:

Yeah, you'll want this in the Producers Promotion section. The COR will tear you a new if it's left here :stongue:

Moved it for you.
Derek M

You enjoy sleeping, don't you?

[sarcasm] I also really appreciate the advice towards the track. It helped a lot. The song sounds so much better [/sarcasm]
Chris Crossland
Yes, I do.

I've found my new sleeping aid!

I'm glad you put that sarcasm BB code there. I'm not sure I would have figured that one out!

You want some track advise? Trash it, delete all files associated with it. Learn music theory, song structure, etc...
Derek M
I'm glad to hear you appreciate my usage of BB code. Unfortunately, if I delete my song then what will help you fall asleep? I would never do something so mean.
Chris Crossland
Don't worry, I already saved it. You can delete now.

thats ed up. is that really necessary? if you're having a bad day or bad life why take it out on someone else?
Looney4Clooney
The basic mix and i'm just talking levels are really really off. The melodic elements lack direction or purpose and over power the drums which is probably not a good thing in dance. The sound palette leaves nothing to bite into. Could not find anything redeeming.

I can't really give any concrete feedback other than keep trying. Everything is off. Listen to music and try to copy it for the time being. You are like the ghost busters that need to climb that building to up gozer and you are on step 5. So just keep at it I guess.

He did ask to rip apart his track, so that's what I did!!

I work with engineers all day, I have a terrible life! I took it out on him because I hate myself, nothing personal.

It truly is a dreadful track though, lol. See there, Clooney said same , only nicer. I hate sugar coating everything nowadays, Everyone is so pussified.

I'll tell you what Derek, do you use FLS? I'll help you out.
Looney4Clooney
Didnt add a sprinkle. You just coated yours with feces. Being a drama queen at leastfor me falls under that category you use. I also think the internet is notg so great for people with your condition.
