I was just thinking a couple minutes ago that I haven't heard from Robert Miles in a freakin long time. Is he still even around or has he gone underground or what? Anyone really know what the story is with anymore? I liked his older stuff but dunno if he's on the go anymore. Just a thought to you all!

Have any of you guys heard Robert Miles stuff recently? If it's half as bad as the crap that he spun at this crap-ass-rave in Socal in February, then it's probably the same reason why you haven't heard any of his new stuff.

All I can express is disappointment in Mr. Miles and his new stuff. I still cannot understand how one can go from producing such a hit like 'Children' to the new stuff that he is spinning. Sad. Very sad.

He came once here in Perth, and I didn't even bother going to see him. Apparently he absoultely cleared the dance floor with his slow dark depressing style he was playing. How could a DJ do that? And then even continue spinning once everyone had gone home. That's pretty ignorant. I guess he liked it...

My sentiments exactly. The stuff he was playing was simply awful. Just a bunch of noise. Nobody looked like they were having a good time. The venue was some half-assed little roller rink with no ventilation.

It's sad to see that happen...but I guess it can happen to the best of them, eh?

Well, maybe because
being a great artist doesn't necessaraly translate into being a good dj and vice versa.

It's too bad, because Dreamland was a truly amazing album, but he failed to duplicate the quality in 23AM.
Maybe Organik will send him to the top again.

Organik will be released in early May I believe. Miles fell part after Dreamland because he got pissed at his record company. Then Tilt remixed Children without asking him so I think he just walked away from the entire scene for awhile. From what I understand Organik is suppose to be similar to Dreamland, thank goodness.

miles totally defines dream trance. organik should definitely bring his name back out into the public if it sounds anything like dreamland. go miles!

i think he created much of what was epic and dream trance throughout 97-99 with his tracks.. influencing a lot of ppl.. so hez quality regardless of what happens
