Big thanks to everyone who braved the cold and joined us for an absolutely amazing debut of Brrrrr! Nothing but high the highest marks for the production team, artists and thousands of true Canadian party people!
Amazing weekend - see you all next year!

Day 2 Review (which I'll move to the other thread if/once Swamper re-opens it):
Dubfire is a ing gangster! Haha even while wearing a peacoat, bright blue pants and a Burberry scarf, that man's music makes me feel like a thug! So much attitude in what he plays! Banging, jumpable, danceable, heavy-ass dark techno! The bass was Earth rattling and I could feel it in my pelvis and my heart. His sounds got me so jacked that I was dancing in the phosphacreatine metabolic pathway on at least two occasions. Just ing awesome.
The women of the weekend really kicked ass both nights. I already wrote about Deniz Kurtel and Miss Kitten in my day 1 review, and last night, Magda was incredible! Her mixing is beyond seamless. She played some really funky and awesome tunes. After hearing her set, I thought it would remain the highlight of the weekend, but as I said, Dubfire stole the show.
I caught about 35 minutes of Chus & Ceballos' set, which was really fun and pumping. Happy that I've finally heard them play. Despite their many appearances in our city, I had missed them every time prior to yesterday.
Really great weekend, and I'm appreciative of Electronic Nation doing something new and different like this festival. Turnout was smaller than the organizers had hoped, I'm sure. Seems like Torontonians don't like the cold (does nobody snowboard!?), and perhaps the youngins didn't appreciate the lack of cheese.
Considered going to Footwork after for The Junkies, Magda, and Dubfire--what an insane lineup!!--but I had gotten my fill of dancing for the weekend by the time Dubfire finished at Brrrrr! How was FW? I'm guessing it was rammed.

My vid of Day 1 w/ Moguai, Mord Fustang, Moby on the main stage. Sorry I didn't get any of Day 2. I was running late & when I got there was too cold to bother filming or taking pics :(

day 1 : deep house stage had a grand total of 30 people.. deniz kurtel was on when i got there... not bad at all.. went to check moby against my instincts, probably the most garbage thing ive heard in a while, after party at footwork for deniz kurtel was less then impressive, until baratto came on.
day 2: get there for magda, am not allowed in because i am 'too drunk' WTF?! after eating exactly 1 hotdog and drinking 1 bottle of water they say im ok to get in... lol dubfire was killing it no doubt when i got in and ejoyed his set.. +1 about that nasty bass
footwork for afterparty.. cabbed it to get in before the crowd.. lone behold huge ass line up, got in fairly quick but they didnt seem to care that i had a brrrr wristband and charged 40$anyway, wasnt about to complain because of whos playing.. dubfire played another nasty set but ing magdas set was so bomb..
highlight of the weekend: magda @ fw
worst part of the weekend: standing through mobys set as he took his shirt off and did stupid poses infront of the decks as u can hear noticible changes in the volume of the tracks lol
