Just heard about this place right now.. Looks like they're getting a Funktion One sound system installed. Has anyone been there before? What's it like?

Great Hall is an awesome space...

| It was Jacques Greene last night. And it's in the great hall, but a side entrance, and kinda in the basement a seperate room. Cool space seen a few bands play there and they do plays and such during Summerworks. |

I stand corrected!
BUt yeah it is indeed the Great Hall. From convo's this morning my friend had a wonderful time. I quote: "It sounds beautiful. Unbelievable. Just what toronto needs. People will come here then go to other shows and go wtf". |

Pretty sure that was just for the night (Jacques Green + Nautiluss last night). The Black Box Theatre is otherwise a multi-purpose venue, rented out to third-party promoters. |
