Neat kick and percs. I am a sucker for those raspy saw basslines. The vocal stutters are great, remind of me Beauty Hides in the Deep. Nice combination of complex bassline and percussion. The transition into the break could use some FX to signify the transition, but also building it up much more would be advisable too. Maybe a bit of lush verb on that pitch shifting saw in the background? I would bring in all of that sub-bass after the drop though, just to give it much more impact. It's quality work though mate, just work on the arrangement. Listen to some other tracks in the same genre to help inspire your completion of this tune.
Overall, much greater quality and far closer to professional value than most of the tracks posted to this forum. Another year or 2 and you should be very well off. |

Thank you Jesse, your feedback is always greatly appreciated. I did some additional work on that drop, here are the results

| Wow, excellent revision! Totally nailed the reverb on the saw pitch shift. It builds the tension so much more. The drop is much more solid as well. Love that you incorporated the vocal stutters with the drop. This is why I love this forum. Constructive criticism that cliques with the producer from another producer's perspective, when executed, can sound great, like this. Honestly it sounds a lot better. |

Nice concept you have develop so far man, from start to around 1:30 really click with me - after that you slowly loosing my interest or edge which you have early in the track lol but I definitely think that you are on something really good here if you decide to finish it - sweet so far !!!!
Cheers,

| Thanks Darek! What would you change at 1:30? I feel content with the drop, it's the part around 2:00 that I'm struggling with, don't really know where to take this track without losing the energy. |

Yeah, I can hear you man - just the way you interplay your melody chords with bass and pluck - find the right balance which will let you extend your drive and energy past this drop, you may as well transfer your existing bass line to a different one at this point (or change your pattern) and then re-engage it again at some point - it is totally up to you how you arrange your track but your goal should be to keep this track intensity level stable with of course some breaks and transition in place - if this make any sense :D
We can talk farther later on ;)
Cheer man,

Yes, that makes perfect sense! I can hear it now actually, after you pointed it out. I should either try maintain the melody after the breakdown and make it 8 bar instead of 4 and apply more constant bassline, like (half-assed):
Or I should keep the glitchy bassline and add some main synth chords in the empty bars (when the pluck plays)
Thanks, opened my eyes (or should I say ears) a bit. |
