Yeah it is much more then i though it was going to be.... but BEB does have the more expensive acts... Not saying there better by any stretch... |

Again, rookie, you missed the point of the thread.
Bal en Blanc is a melting pot, something for everyone. There is a dj for the gays, for the commercial and for the underground. Its not meant to be a niche festival like DEMF.
The idea of Bal is that you cover all your bases with this event. Its a Montreal cultural event. DEMF really goes for 2 different crowds max.
And Detroit is getting more expensive this year too, it was way cheaper 5 years ago |

That's fair but the posting TA community generally aren't into acts like Guetta and Calvin Harris, so they don't get a festival that's worth more to them than DEMF. A festival that caters to everyone isn't more appealing to everyone individually that is going to the djs that made the festival appealing to them.
If you made a poll thread and asked TAs if they only had $150 in the budget for parties before summer - would they rather have 1 night/morning at beb or a long weekend at DEMF, the results would be amusing.
DEMF may have gone up in price, but so has BEB. I went only a few years ago and it was only $100 |

BEB is more about the production, costumes, girls, styles clash, etc.
DEMF is more about the beats.
Will I have suicidal thoughts during Harris and Guetta...YES, but they will draw the numbers
If some of those fans get introduced to Moudaber and DUBFIRE, we will have converted a few to the dark side... |
