This should be fun.

Aeroplane was pretty fun the last time he came to Mezzanine. Good tunes the whole way through.

Interestingly, he played a DJ set but didn't even have any headphones on stage. I know it's possible to DJ without headphones but he's the only one I've seen do it in person. He was still working the mixer at appropriate times so he's either one of the few who can pull off a quality headphone-free DJ set or he's pretty good at faking it (which shouldn't really be that hard).

lots of artists nowadays have multiple cue points and autosync (and autocue), in addition to knowing your tracks really well you could conceive of a situation in which you don't need headphones, although I think it's bad practice to not cue ahead of time.

also techno isn't difficult to mix like some genres can be...

but that is interesting, ive only seen one guy mix without headphones (well he had headphones, he just never put them on his ears). and yeah it was ty (le castle vania - were opening for someone else at a bigger event)

side note: aeroplane is one of my new favorites, i listened to 5-6 of his mixes on saturday night adn sunday
