It's been a while since I did anything with a kick.

I'm already thinking the clap is e, and it need more percussion.

Ignore the 'intro' and stuff, it's only a quick sketch at the moment to get an idea of where I want to go.

The vocal is Veela, but I had some fun with Cubase variaudio to get the harmonising part. It works pretty well. Much faster than Melodyne as it's all integrated.

I think I'll try and finish the track this week, so I'll be interested to hear what your thoughts are.

Like how this bass line is gluing this whole track together - very smooth ride G. - I will patiently wait for the rest ;) if you dare finish this :D

Cheers,

Fukin gr8 mate. Best kick I've heard in a while.

I like everything, maybe just slightly reduce the clap tail and take the vocal down a notch.

Intro is bloody nice imo.

What is veela?

Can I just send you stems and you mix for me going forward?

Agreed on the clap, in fact I don't like them at all right now, and the vocal is a bit too loud as well.

The kick is actually from a free pack of kicks by Markus Hakala. I strongly recommend you grabbing them as they're excellent.

And it ain't quite there yet lol, need to get mah mixin' hat on and get it spot on.

Veela is a commercial vocal sample pack, it's pretty good tbh.

I like the clap, it was just a bit long.

Which kik pack - I think I DL'd 2 from TA couple of months back, one was trance kicks and I think the other was more tech / minimal.

You got the vocal sounding really good. I to use Cubase vari audio on vocals - I dont think that many folk do.

Like I said on another forum, I'd add more percussion, shorten the kick and get some more reverb on vocal. That said, I'm not close to your level so what do I know. Seriously, can't wait to hear the full track.
