What I mean is that its easier to kill when you don't have to face the horrors of what it is your doing. |

| So politicians deciding on militaristic action from Washington D.C. is different how? |

| They should let civilians buy drones. Lulz would insure. |

Oh, just go to ebay. You can get anything up to a midsized drone, although they're sold under less conspicuous names. I bet you could get Tier II drones on TOR. They'd be cheap knockoffs of like predators and reapers with like Iranian instructions and , and you'd probably have to equip it with a gun yourself, but I've seen gatling guns for sale, so if you're really hell-bound on doing some anonymous terrorizing it's just a matter of having the money. And if I remember the young turks clip i saw on this, there are no regulations set in place for civilian UAVs, in the US of A at the moment. |

One of the things that conspiracy theorists like to talk about is the CCTV system that Britain has in many cities. Some people say its meant to deter crime, help those in need, and make things safer. Other people say thats its used to monitor the citizens.
The drones that have been used both abroad (non-US territory) and now being used at home (In the US) are being used to apprehend crims, or spy on US citizens (I'm talking about the drones used for surveillance only, not the killer ones).
I see both systems to be a mixed bag; a system used by governments for both good and bad things. When used properly, it makes the citizens safer. When used improperly, it can lead to violations of the citizens rights. So I, and all of us must ask ourselves: are we willing enough to give up some freedom for safety? And if so, how much freedom? |

Really though, how is it at all different to police killing suspects while attempting to arrest them? |
djshire said it better than I could.

If both the local law enforcement and the government could use the technology wisely and responsibly, it would be a benefit. But have you seen the state of our government lately? They can't come to an agreement on practically anything, and you expect me to trust them to use drones wisely on their own? Hah. Same thing for local law enforcement. I skimmed through Donner's manifesto and it seems like he has a ton of dirt on the LAPD. I wouldn't trust them either with drones. |

| Well again I’m still not seeing the difference compared to “trusting” a sheriff executing a warrant or a member of SWAT taking a shot. |

| in the US, one could argue that the drones search places where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy in violation of the US constitution. |

| What if drones fly into people? Surely this is an argument against arming domestic drones. |
