I use a phone app called "Bandsintown." Based on my Facebook artist likes it shows that Nitrous Oxide is also playing Pachita the same night.

There was a nice update from Esscala on their facebook yesterday. Sounds promising...

"
We have updates for you...

We had a long, productive and positive talk with the club last night and the good news is they were aware of the fixes required and seemed to be genuinely working towards smoothing out the kinks.

The Sound - Turns out not all the speakers were hooked up for the event which will be rectified this weekend. Also they were not acoustically calibrated for the room, so that is on their to do list and should be good to go for this weekend. They will also look to reinforce the bass to add a little more punch and beef up the sound.

The Lighting - The lighting is an ongoing process and while we may see some improvement this Saturday, the major overhauls may take a little longer. The person in charge of lighting was facing a personal family emergency so a few delays are expected on that front. However they walked us through the renovations they were planning and it all looks very promising.

The Air - A/C will be cranked up in advance so that we don't feel like lobsters in a trance pot.

The Furnishing - The wood paneling around the balcony was being painted last night and will have a nice black lacquer finish this weekend. They will move some of the couches out of the main dance floor so there is more space to vertically express all your horizontal desires. The place is going to get painted, not sure if they can do it by this weekend, but it is definitely happening soon.

The Drinks - There were a lot of complaints about fluctuating prices at the bars last weekend. Seems like many of you were REALLY pissed about this, because we hit our lowest bar numbers ever. Turns out a communication error had one of the bartenders quoting the wrong prices all night. That will definitely not happen this Saturday. The prices for drinks are as follows: Beer 8 dollars, Cocktails 12 dollars for house liquor and 14-16 dollars for premium spirits.

And finally...

The Vision - Someone asked whether they wanted to be a trendy upscale place like Lavo next door or a music oriented place. The jury is still out on this one, as they are still trying to figure it out. They want to do a couple more events with us before they make that call. This is totally understandable since they have to look out for their finances and if a music oriented casual crowd is not a sustainable business model for the area they are in then they might have to go another route.

That's all we have for now, hopefully this answers most of your concerns. What we need from you is to keep coming out and supporting us and spread the word. Drag a couple of friends out, show them the scene. Continue to bring all the energy, enthusiasm and passion you bring each week."

i give them props for doing that
i dont think the venue to me will be a place i will look foward to partying imo
not my kinda room but i like how they cracked down on what the customers had to say and made happen

Kinda feel the same about the place, but they do bring in the talent I want to check out (rank 1 and shneijder is next for me) so I will be going to their events.

one other point:

closing times extended beyond 4AM?
Seems like I am the only one complaining about it, even though it used to be a common complaint about Pachita...
