Cream Reunion

Does anyone know if this will be an ongoing thing or is it basically done? I couldnt really fly across the atlantic before but would love to go to one of these in the future. Also, I would love to know if they have anything big planned. Sasha and or Digweed are apparently refusing to do a classics night but I would still pay top dollar and cream my underwear if they could book Paul Van Dyk for this, which I think might be way more doable as he plays a lot of classic tracks anyway and doesnt seem to mind playing something even as played out as For An Angel live. Not the biggest Oakie fan, quite frankly find his mixing subpar and blame him for a lot of the mess created in DJ worship, but I would def be interested in seeing him if he played a classics night. Nick Warren I would also love to see play a classics night. Anyone have any scoop? And better yet who would you love to see play a classics night?

I think I am the last man in the civilized world without facebook. LOL. I know he posts on these forums so hopefully he sees this thread.

CR7 is in the planning phase. I do have the scoop on who they're trying to book, but I won't divulge. They've already booked Nick Warren for CR5, Sasha, Digweed and Oakey won't do it though, for various reasons. They are doing this 303 event in May with Oliver Lieb and Justin Robertson, both of whom played brilliant sets at Cream Reunion. If you want to fly over the Atlantic, that could be a good one, because it's on May 26th in Liverpool, and on May 24th John 00 Fleming is playing a 3 hour set in Manchester. You could make an epic clubbing weekend holiday out of it.

God damn that sounds good but May is still too early for me. I need to finish this project and submit the damn manuscript before I can go away for vacation. Im still holding out hope for PVD, he has a lot of history with Cream and seems the least reluctant to play classic tracks. My only worry is i know the bastard charges up the wazzo and is always trying to play his new stuff and his label crap which makes me want to shoot myself every time I hear it.

Not a fan of the latest Vandit stuff then?

no not at all. The bigger problem with the latest vandit stuff isnt just the subpar quality of the tracks, its that it is starting to ruin his dj sets as he is playing the same type of songs as above and beyond and armin. at least around 2004-2005 while his productions had slipt, his mixes were still enjoyable because of the amount of hard techno or hard trance type stuff he was playing. Cant stand cheesy trance and unfortunately thats almost all you hear now from most trance djs.

Yeah totally agree. Its a shame his sets and his label has gone down the route they have. Vandit at one time were amazing

There will be a CR7 and hopefully more after that but at the mo we're just focusing on the 303 night in May. It's harder this year to find the right dates for the Reunion but when we do get a date it'll be at least 3 or 4 months before that we release lineup etc, so you'll have time to plan to come over. Glad the positive vibes have made it Stateside!
