I don't think Maor Levi has ever played NYC before but I could be wrong..definitely going to catch him at this gig though. His recent sets and productions are a mixed bag but he's still more on the trance side imo. Seems like I'll be going to Santos Party House a lot these next few months, these Electric Beach parties have some juicy line ups! :)
Skeptic
He released some amazing trance tunes a couple years ago, but now I'm pretty sure he got trouse virus, judging by his recent productions.

Didn't he go on a Twitter rant saying he's done with trance or that trance was dead? Something like that I believe...But yeah he, like many others, had some really good productions from previous years.

I thought that was Mat Zo.

Eh, this guy was yapping on Facebook about how trance and dubstep go together perfectly. Sorry, but nothx.

just came in here to post this.

this is his first time here, he's never had his visa.
maor levi has produced some of the best and most amazing trance i've ever heard.
but he's pretty much a dip online. instead of using social media to connect with fans, he's always drunk and saying weird and just trolling his fans. now he's making a bunch of dubstep and trouse but i don't honestly know if it's a big joke or if he's into it. i wouldn't even know what to expect him to play if i saw him live.
This is a live mix, supposedly. I'm still trying to figure out how to embed in this forum.
I saw that mix but I don't think that reflects how his live sets are. That set is a bit of a year mix he played on 12/27/2012 which is why I think it's so full of mash ups. The tracklist from his most recent podcast goes like this:
MOARBASS #2 with Maor Levi - Pierce Fulton Guestmix
1. Pryda - Recomondos [Pryda]
2. Chonburi Sam - Loa (PROFF Remix) [Fuzzy]
3. Matty Menck & Social Phunk - Are You Ready for Love (Federico Scavo Remix) [Toolroom Records]
4. Offbeat Agents - Play [Musical Madness]
5. BASS OF THE MONTH:
Usher - Numb (Maor Levi Remix) [Sony/RCA]
6. Audien - Sup [Trice]
7. Antonio Giacca - Alumbra [Toolroom Records]
8. Jochen Miller - Cheer Up [Big & Dirty]
9. Gemini - Freedom [Inspected Records]
10. TV Noise - Kill The Radio [Spinnin Records]
11. Emma Hewitt - Rewind (Mikkas Remix) [Armada]
12. Jaytech - Multiverse (Audien Remix) [Anjunabeats]
13. Delayers - Four [Big & Dirty]
14. Gina Star - Bananular [LOI]
15. Above & Beyond feat. Richard Bedford - Liquid Love (Maor Levi Remix) [Anjunabeats]
16. Tangle & Mateusz - Nemesis [Air Up There]
17. Shahin & Bench - Viridian (SNR Remix) [Arrival]
18. BASS FROM THE PAST:
Maor Levi Vs. Planet Perfecto - Reflect a Bullet in the Gun (Randy Seidman Remix) [Anjunabeats/Perfecto]
Not a great tracklist by any means but I'll still go check him out live. He's contributed some awesome music to trance in the past, years ago I would have been really glad to see him play here.
